Cervical non-invasive vagus nerve stimulation
Cervical nVNS is delivered through the skin over a neck location rather than through an implanted lead or an electrode on the outer ear. Device design, side of application, waveform, contact geometry, and session instructions vary.
Research may use labels such as n-cVNS, cervical nVNS, or transcutaneous cervical VNS. These labels identify a route and anatomical region, but they do not by themselves define one protocol or prove target engagement.
Cervical and auricular non-invasive methods should be reported separately. A result from one location, device, or indication cannot be assumed to describe another method or a general-wellness product.
