nVNS is a broad method category rather than a single technique. External stimulation may be applied at cervical locations on the neck or at auricular locations on the outer ear.
Devices can differ in contact design, waveform, frequency, pulse width, intensity, session duration, control condition, and intended use. These differences matter when comparing products or interpreting studies.
Non-invasive describes the route of delivery. It does not establish effectiveness, guarantee comfort, or remove the need for contraindications, precautions, and product-specific instructions.
